The moment I knew that I was on the right path towards yoga teacher training was, when driving home after taking my first class from one of my soon-to-be gurus, the tears of joy began to flow and I proclaimed from the depths of my soul, “I am the most alive that I have felt in years!" The beginning of the end is what I like to refer to that moment as. I put away my reservations and made the choice to live like never before.

Although I had practiced Yoga Fit/ Body Flow for several years, I had come to love the pure healing power that only a traditional yoga class could offer. I studied under Cybele Steen and Tami Roberts with the Yoga Alliance registered school, Lifted Heart Yoga, for my 200-hour certification. My teacher training opened the doors to endless possibilities for my own personal healing- mind, body, and spirit- and a passion to share the benefits of all that yoga has to offer with others.

My background as a social worker, educator, and PhD student of community and peace-building, has taught me that yoga extends beyond all cultures, backgrounds, physical make-up and religion. Not only is yoga a physical practice, but can also be a channel for spiritual awakening and mental enlightenment. I have taught yoga over the past five years at various studios and universities throughout North Georgia- including restorative, vinyasa flow, and yin yoga. I encourage students of yoga to move beyond their potential and achieve their highest self. My themed classes are challenging, yet gentle, with something for everyone at all levels of yoga practice. In class I offer a "purposeful" intention and set the mood to a fun playlist. … Come join me for “Yoga with a Purpose”!
